After 9 weeks of sweat and tears of frustration, I can now say that I’ve designed a digital game from start to finish. It is called “Eksa: Isle of the Wisekind” (you should ask me how I came up with that name) and it’s a social puzzle-making game. By social, I mean you actually interact with your friends and their creations as opposed to watering their dying hydrangeas.
I love what we produced, but of course there’s always stuff to improve. You know what, I don’t even care about that part. I am damn proud of what I helped create and I hope you guys will like it too.
If any of you lovely people do play it, it would be WONDERFUL if you can send me feedback (or post it on our app page) so I can forward it to the next team in the fall. It will definitely be worked on in the fall, but feedback now is always welcome! Also, anything you tell me will be monumentally useful as I continue on this never ending journey to make fun, interesting games.
While you’re at it! See the other games produced this summer on the Singapore-MIT GAMBIT Game Lab’s website. A lot of freaking fantastic games have been made this summer so I’d really love it if others check them out as well!
HAPPY DAY!
